The man had been arrested in Coleraine on Tuesday.

It follows the release yesterday of another 26 year old man who, on Monday, had also been arrested in connection to the murder.

To date, one man has been charged with murder and another reported to the Public Prosecution Service.

Mr. McCauley was left in a vegetative state after he was set upon by a loyalist gang in the Waterside in 2006.

Mr. McCauley passed away in a local care unit in June this year.
