Man rescued after 'fall down riverbank' in Carrickfergus
The incident happened on Sunday afternoon at Prince Andrew Way, with two appliances from Carrickfergus Fire Station attending.
A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to rescue a man who had fallen 15ft down a riverbank.

Hide Ad"The casualty was treated by Northern Ireland Ambulance Service on the riverbank, and when safe to do so firefighters used an inflatable stretcher and a triple extension ladder to rescue him from the riverbank."
NIAS despatched one emergency crew and one rapid response paramedic to the scene.
"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital by ambulance," a NIAS spokesperson said.
