Man rescued from sea on north coast

A man has been rescued from the sea off the coast of north Antrim.

He was found by the Red Bay lifeboat crew about a quarter of a mile off Kenbane Head in Ballycastle at about 12:00 BST on Saturday.

An air and sea search operation began at about 11:15 BST after he was reported missing. It is thought that he fell from a cliff.

He was taken by helicopter to Coleraine hospital.

It is believed he is in a critical condition.
