As the officers approached Knox shouted ‘black b--ds’. He was told to calm his behaviour, but he continued to be abusive and was arrested for being disorderly.

A solicitor for the Knox said that he had ‘no memory’ of the incident.

District Judge, Richard Wilson, fined Knox 150 and warned him to “keep his drink consumption down”.
