Man stabbed during Friday morning attack in Dunmurry

A 30-year-old man was stabbed during one of two separate assaults in Dunmurry on Friday morning.

The attack on the man took place at Filbert Drive and was reported around 5.15am. The man was later taken to hospital.

In another unrelated incident in Poleglass at around 11am two males were assaulted close to the junction of Bell Steele Road and Brians Well Road.

A 22-year-old sustained an injury to his head and a 24-year-old suffered an injury to his hand.

Both were taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

Police in Lisburn are investigating both incidents.
