Man stabbed in back during attack by two males in Newmills area

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was reported to have been stabbed by two unknown males in the Newmills area in the early hours of Sunday, October 19.

It was reported that at around 2.45am a man, aged in his 40’s, was walking from Newmills towards Coalisland when he was attacked by the men.

The man sustained a stab wound to his arm and back as a result of the incident.

Detective Inspector Brian Foster is appealing for anyone who was in the Newmills area anytime between 1.30am and 2.45am and who witnessed an altercation between a number of men to contact detectives in Dungannon on the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
