Man suffers brokennose after being attacked by group

Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked and left with a broken nose in Creggan.

The assault occured in the Creggan Heights area in the early hours of Saturday (June 28).

A PSNI spokesperson said: “At around 1am a man was assaulted by three males as he walked along a path from Ballymagowan towards Creggan Heights.

“The man suffered a broken nose and cuts and bruising to his body as a result of the assault.

“One of the males was described as being around 6’2” tall and was wearing a grey tracksuit. The other two males were around 5’10” tall, one of slim build and one of stocky build.

“All three spoke with a local accent.”
