Man suffers cut to neck in ‘stabbing’ incident at Moneymore

Police responded to a report of an altercation at a property in the Smith Street area of the south Derry village shortly after 8.30pm on Sunday.

A 49-year-old man was treated in hospital for a cut to his neck and a 50-year-old man was arrested.

He has since been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent and is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court on Friday, January 30

As is normal procedure, all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
