Man survives ‘glancing blow’ from train

A MAN hit by a train close to Trooperslane railway crossing was recovering in hospital on Tuesday afternoon (September 6).

Police said the 42-year-old was struck by a glancing blow from the train just after 12.30pm close to the level crossing.

He was later taken to hospital where his injuries were described as “not life threatening”.

Trains were disrupted and delayed while police launched an investigation into the incident and how the man got on the tracks.
