Man taken to hospital with multipleinjuries following Strathfoyle attack

A man was hospitalised after being assaulted by two men in a house in the Strathfoyle area of Londonderry on Friday afternoon, July 22.

The attack took place inside a house in the Old Fort area of the Strathfoyle estate, according to detectives at Strand Road who have been investigating the incident.

A Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) spokesperson explained that at approximately 4.00pm a 26 year old man was assaulted by two males, whilst in the house in the Old Fort area. He sustained multiple injuries, which required hospital treatment.

Detective Constable Tony Douglas said he would appeal to anyone who has any information about this assault to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 887 21/07/16.
