The charges relate to 11 counts of burglary, 18 counts of attempted burglary and one count of possession of a class B controlled drug. He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Thursday, November 3.

Detective Inspector Chris Millar said: “These charges refer to a spate of burglaries in the Newtownabbey and north Belfast areas in November and December 2015. This spate caused a large amount of understandable concern in the community and I am delighted that police officers, working with the help of the local community and injured parties, were able to make the arrest in the Shore Road area of north Belfast on Thursday, October 6 and follow through with the subsequent charges.”
