Man to be sentenced for punching male

A Gilford man who punched a man in an unprovoked attack will be sentenced next month.

Adam Potts (18), of Pine View Court, admitted unlawful assault on a male on January 17.

The court heard that at 11pm, the injured party was approached by Potts who punched him once to the face.

Potts then ran away and the victim was left with some bleeding inside his mouth.

When interviewed, Potts admitted punching the victim but claimed he had said something to him.

The case was adjourned until March 19 for reports.
