Man urinated in Altnagelvin A&E

A man has been arrested on public order offences committed at Altnagelvin Hospital on Monday evening.

According to a PSNI spokesman, shortly after 7pm on Monday, March 7, police arrested a 26-year-old man at Altnagelvin on suspicion of indecent behaviour and disorderly behaviour.

The was subsequently charged with the offences and also with resisting police.

He was granted bail to appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court on Wednesday, March 30.

DUP MLA Gary Middleton condemned the incident and said A&E staff needed more help.

“There can be no excuse for abusing A&E staff,” he said.

“This was absolutely disgusting and I have made contact with the Chief Executive about it.”
