Man warned about his future behaviour

A PORTSTEWART man has been warned to complete his community service or face a custodial sentence.

Adrian Samuel Pritchard (25) of Lever Road, was given 240 hours community service after he was found guilty of disorderly behaviour at North Antrim Magistrates' Court last Friday.

The court heard that on December 9 last year Pritchard was observed jumping in front of cars by a mobile police patrol in the Diamond area of Portstewart.

Officers spoke to the defendant about his behaviour but he began to shout obscenities at them.

Pritchard was warned about his behaviour, but he told the officers to "f**k off". He was warned again but responded by saying: "I don't give a f**k." Pritchard was subsequently arrested.

The defence said this was this was classic case of failing to heed a warning.

District Judge, Richard Wilson, in taking Pritchard's previous record into consideration, warned him that he was to complete his community service or face a jail term saying: "You have been been before the court far too often."
