The live final held in Victoria Square saw six skilled bakers, including Mandy, work against the clock to bake and decorate her own Victoria Sandwich showstopper under the watchful eye of host and expert judge Jenny Bristow.

Runner-Up Mandy Neill’s Victoria Sandwich incorporated a springtime tea party theme using intricate sugar craft in classic pastels - pink, blue, mint green and lemon yellow with a white icing sugar background. The cake featured a tea party scene with a yellow spring bunny on top, decorative flowers and a matching yellow ribbon at the base. The judges highlighted the incredible attention to detail considered by all the bakers in their finished masterpiece, especially given the time constraints and the conditions of baking in front of a live audience.
