Man’s car stolen at knifepoint at court

A man had a knife pulled on him and his car stolen while he was having a smoke in the car park at Craigavon courthouse last Friday.

He was on the list at Craigavon Magistrates Court and when the case was called his solicitor, Mr Pat Vernon, said his client had been there earlier in the morning.

He explained that while the defendant was having a cigarette beside his car in the car park someone pulled a knife on him and stole his car.

Mr Vernon said his client had been taken to the police station to make a statement.

The case was adjourned.
