Marion honoured for charity work

A LOCAL woman has been honoured for her commitment to a children's charity.

Marion Fulton picked up a ‘loyal award’ for her continued commitment and support of the NSPCC in Northern Ireland.

Supporters of the children’s charity came from across Northern Ireland to attend its annual fundraising supporters rally earlier this month in the Ulster Museum in Belfast.

The charity welcomed The Right Honourable Baroness Benjamin of Beckenham in Kent OBE DL as special guest.

During the event fundraising supporters were presented with awards by Ann Shaw, NSPCC trustee for Northern Ireland and Baroness Benjamin.

The NSPCC provides local services which focus on the most acute forms of abuse and the most vulnerable, highest risk children.
