'Marked' rise in anti-social driving

POLICE in Ballymoney are asking for public assistance in nabbing 'do-nutters' as there is said to have been a "marked" increase in anti-social driving on local streets and roads.

A PSNI spokesman said: “We are talking about anti-social drivers doing what is commonly referred to as ‘donuts’ and handbrakes etc. There has been a marked rise in the number of complaints and we would ask people to report these matters to us and to get descriptions of vehicles and registration numbers.

“We want the public to know that we take these reports of anti-social driving very seriously and if we can obtain evidence prosecutions will be forthcoming,” said the spokesman.

Anyone with information can contact the PSNI on 08456008000 or phone the Crimestoppers confidential freephone number on 0800555111.
