Mark’s photo takes top votes in Little Garden Helper contest

DESPITE a not-so-sunny summer, it seems that there’s plenty of young gardeners keen to get their hands dirty.

Our recent Little Garden Helpers competition, in which we invited readers to submit photos of children working hard outdoors, produced some great shots.

From planting seeds to watering the plants, the little ones were all seen making the best of their gardening opportunities - regardless of the weather.

The votes have now been counted up and the child with the most votes was for 10-year-old Mark Graham who was pictured multi-tasking ... watering his plants and feeding his donkey at the same time.

As a result, Mrs A Graham of Drumahoe Gardens, Millbrook, has won the fantastic prize of £100-worth of Garden Gift Vouchers, which she will be receiving soon.
