The team are tackling the challenge head on by running 10 miles three evenings per week along with tough gym sessions three evenings per week.

Staff at SPAR Martinstown are asking for the generosity of the local community and loyal customers to donate any loose change at the tills in store. They urge everyone to help raise vital funds for the Laurel House at the Antrim Hospital, to ensure it can continue providing invaluable help to cancer patients in the area.

Tommy McIntyre, store owner, said: “I am extremely proud to have such a great bunch of motivated staff at the store who are very dedicated to this worthy cause and committing whole heartedly to training. We can all relate to devastating effects of cancer and for that reason we felt that the Laurel House was the best recipient for the donation.
