Martyn 'ordained' to serve in Limerick

A large crowd gathered at Ballymena's newest Church building to see Martyn McGeown 'ordained' Covenant Protestant Reformed Church missionary in Limerick in the new CPRC Building on Clarence Street last Friday.

Minister of the congregation in Ballymena had the privilege of preaching at the gathering. Martyn was also joined by many of his friends from the Limerick Reformed Fellowship, as well as from England, Germany, Italy and of course, Ballymena.

Martyn is originally from Cookstown and is a graduate of Cookstown High School and Queen's University, Belfast with a degree in French and German. He recently completed four years of study at the Protestant Reformed Theological School in Grandville, Michigan, USA. In 2009, he spent six months on an internship in a church in the US.

Martyn has accepted the call from the CPRC to be a missionary in Limerick, Republic of Ireland, working with the multi-national saints of the Limerick Reformed Fellowship. (http://www.limerickreformed.com/.)

Martyn’s ordination was indeed a very special night for him, his family, friends and everyone connected with the Covenant Protestant Reformed Church.
