Mary prepares for another golden moment

Dame Mary, who won Pentathlon Gold at the Munich Olympics, met up with Britain’s golden athletes Denise Lewis and Daley Thompson at London 2012, as she watched Team GB’s new generation of stars including Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah write their names into the history books.

With the title “Mary Peters...40 Golden Years”, the gala event sponsored by Flybe will be attended by a host of sporting and media celebrities. Confirmed guests to date include Sir Steve Redgrave, Dame Kelly Holmes, Denise Lewis, Jayne Torvill, Daley Thompson, Duncan Goodhew, Adrian Moorhouse, David Hemery and Tessa Sanderson. Van Morrison, Paddy Kielty and Barry Douglas will headline a packed programme of entertainment for this unique black tie event.

A limited number of tickets have been made available for general sale through the Grand Opera House website or directly at the Box Office in Great Victoria Street.
