Masked raiders rob man in his 80s

Shortly before 8.35pm on Tuesday evening the three, who were all in their 20's, entered the man's home at Craneystown Road.

One of the men was armed with an iron bar and all three wore balaclavas.

The elderly man was not injured and the would be robbers fled.

Police are still establishing details of any items that were stolen during the incident.

They have appealed for anyone with information to contact detectives in Lisburn on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information about crime can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
