Masonic Club opens doors

Those taking part in the Act of Remembrance in the city centre will be made welcome on Sunday at the Londonderry Masonic Club at Bishop Street.

The Club will be open from 9am until 12.30pm, where tea, coffee, orange juice and biscuits will be available, free of charge to those needing warmth, a hot cuppa, or a bit of company.

There will also be access to toilet facilities.

There will be a Poppy Day collection box available on the day for anyone wishing to make a donation in lieu of being charge for refreshments.

Alcohol will not be available.

Meanwhile, Irish street community centre will holding their first ever Festival of Remembrance service this Thursday, October 5, at 7.30pm in aid of the RBL Poppy Appeal.

The Service will be conducted by Rev David McBeth, Rev John Hanna, Father Michael Canny and Pastor Phelim Doherty. All welcome.
