Maureen was dedicated to family

She was the dearly loved wife of the late Robert James (Bobbie) Crossie of Cline Road Banbridge.

Maureen who had been a resident of Bannview Care Home for this past four months received the best of treatment.

Born and brought up in Church Square as Maureen Porter she attended St. Patrick’s School in Dromore Street.

She met Bobbie when they both worked in Baxter’s Drapery Shop in Newry Street.

Bobbie passed away 24 years ago and this made a great change in Maureen’s life.

They had three daughters Paula, Anita and Kathryn.

After this Maureen went as an Auxiliary Nurse to Lurgan Hospital and then to Brookfield and then to Smyth’s Weaving Company at Brookfield Factory.

Maureen then retired from working to bring up her family.

She loved to go dancing her and Bobbie.

She attended Church at St Patrick’s.

She is survived by three daughters, two sons-in-law Jim and Robbie.

She sustained a great loss on the passing of one of her grandchildren Matthew but gave most of her time to her grandchildren Asheline, Nicola, Adam, Bobbie, Billy and two great grandchildren Taylor and Corey.

To these and all other relatives sincere sympathy has been extended.

The funeral took place from her home for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Chapel, Dromore Street which the homily was conducted by Canon Liam Stevenson.

Jolene and Philippa O’Hara sang at the Mass.

The burial took place afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery.

Family flowers were placed on the grave and donations in lieu of flowers are being sent to William Bell and Co. Funeral Directors, 23 Kenlis Street, Banbridge, BT32 3LR for Bannview Residents Care Home.

William Bell and Co. had charge of the funeral arrangements.
