Mayor congratulates camogs

THE Mayor of Coleraine has sent his congratulations to Eoghan Rua's camogie team who won the Ulster Championship for the first time in the club's history last week.

At Tuesday’s meeting of Coleraine Borough Council, Cllr Billy Leonard spoke of the team’s “tremendous achievement”.

He said that, although the realised that we are living in difficult times, he hoped Council would be able to recognise the club’s success in some way.

Chairing the meeting, Mayor of Coleraine, Cllr Norman Hillis expressed his congratulations.

He said that he would be “more than happy” to organise something to recognise their achievement.
