Mayor counts down Top Ten Hymns

Mayor of Craigavon, Councillor Mark Baxter, is inviting everyone to an evening of his favourite Top Ten Hymns which is taking place in Craigavon Civic & Conference Centre on Thursday, April 10 at 7.30pm.

Music will be provided by the Salvation Army Band (Lurgan Corps) and organist Ryan Harris and singing will be led by the Salvation Army Songsters.

Admission is free but a freewill offering will be taken on the evening for Missionaries working abroad.

Mayor, Cllr Baxter said, “There are so many popular and favourite hymns and I have drawn up a list of my favourites. They actually overlap quite a lot with the 2013 BBC Songs of Praise survey of the nation’s favourite hymns, so I hope that everyone who attends will hear one or two of their own personal favourites.”

The hymns will be sung in reverse order from the Mayor’s 10th favourite through to his first, so come along and see if your favourite features in the running order.
