Mayor hosts special ladies night in aid of her local diabetes fund

The Mayor of Lisburn, Councillor Margaret Tolerton, is pleased to launch her Ladies Evening, which is taking place at Lagan Valley Island on March 27 at 7.30pm.

The Mayor’s Office, in partnership with the Lisburn Chamber of Commerce, has organised the Evening to raise funds in support of the Mayor’s Charity, The Lagan Valley Diabetes Fund.

Compéring the fashion show is former UTV presenter Jeanie Johnson and Denise Watson of U105, who will detail the specifics of each outfit as it is modelled on the catwalk.

Ladies will have the opportunity to browse through a variety of stalls showcasing jewellery, scarves, handbags, scented candles, pottery and beauty products.

The fashion show will feature the new season offerings from local retail outlets: Vanilla - Lisburn, No 1 Boutique - Lisburn, NewU@92 – Moira and Petticoat Lane, Hillsborough.

The Mayor of Lisburn, Councillor Margaret Tolerton, speaking about the event, said: “I am delighted to have been able to add my personal twist to this fashion show in aid of The Lagan Valley Diabetes Fund, and to partner with the local Chamber of Commerce.

“Tickets cost £10 and include complementary light refreshments and gift bags.

“There will also be an opportunity to buy ballot tickets for prizes including a pamper hamper, afternoon tea for 4 in the Merchant Hotel Belfast, an Oasis Travel voucher and many others.”

Belinda O’Neill, President of the Lisburn Chamber of Commerce expressed her delight that the Chamber is working in partnership with the Mayor’s Office for this upcoming event.

A warm invitation is extended to all ladies to come along and join in what promises to be a wonderful occasion.
