Mayor Kennedywelcomes gas price freeze

THE announcement by energy company, firmus, that current prices will be held on their natural gas for a further year, has been welcomed as great news for local consumers.

The Mayor of Ballymoney, Councillor Bill Kennedy, said the fact that firmus were holding their prices would be greatly welcomed by both householders and the business community in the Borough.

“At a time of economic hardship, this announcement means that people will be able to budget more properly for their energy outgoings in the coming months.”

In February, 2009, firmus made a promise that natural gas from them would continue to be cheapr than oio.
