Mayor moved by response to Paris attacks

Mid and East Antrim Mayor, Cllr Billy Ashe says he has been moved by the “sincere expressions” of condolences from local people over the recent terrorist attacks in Paris.

In the wake of the attacks last month, books were made available in Larne, Ballymena and Carrick for local people to leave messages in.

Speaking at the monthly meeting of Council on Monday, Cllr Ashe said he had extended his sincere condolences to the President of France and the families of those who had been bereaved in the attacks, and that he had also contacted the Honorary French Consul in NI, who lives in Whitehead.
