Mayor Stevenson signals mobile phone change

The Mayor of Ballymoney, Councillor Ian Stevenson, has suggested that council members and everyone attending meetings of council, committees, sub-committees, and other council organised meetings, be requested to switch off mobile phones or put them on silent.

He has also requested that those wishing to use mobile phones should leave the room to make/receive calls.

A draft policy is to be put together and discussed by council at a later date.
