“If you would like to enjoy the fabulous breakfast delights of Café Vic Ryn and support this very worthwhile cause then please join us. Dr Janet Gray, MBE will be the guest speaker at the event.”

She continued: “Breakfast choices will include cereal, scones, porridge, toast, scrambled eggs, mini or large fry’s with a hot beverage of your choice.

“Tickets are priced at £10 and can be either bought in advance from my office or on the day in Café Vic Ryn. My chosen charity offers an invaluable service to all diabetics within the Lagan Valley area.

“I nominated The Lagan Valley Diabetes Unit as my mayoral charity because this excellent service would like to increase the support it offers to its patients but does not currently have the financial resources to do so.”
