Mayor’s event has fundraising to a tea

The Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Councillor Thomas Beckett will be holding a Ladies Vintage Tea evening at Café Vic-Ryn in aid of the Mayoral Charity, the Mary Peters Trust. on Wednesday 11th November at 7.30pm.

The Mary Peters Trust supports young athletes across Northern Ireland providing much needed funds and support in their chosen sport.

The vintage inspired evening will exhibit a fabulous array of fashion and beauty demonstrations, including a mini fashion show by local clothing business, Julie Elliott.

Beauty Boutique, based in House of Vic-Ryn, will be on hand to provide expert knowledge on beauty regimens and treatments to help you feel and look your best.

Pamela Forest, from Rhubarb Boutique, will demonstrate the perfect way to tie a scarf in the most simple and trendy way.

That’s not all, guests will have an opportunity to purchase the perfect Christmas gift at one of the many stalls on display, featuring, well-known and uniquely versatile fashion jewellery, Miglio, Menarys Gifts Sets and Trinity Gifts.

Hayley Mitchell from Fascinating Designs will also be on display with an extensive range of bespoke fascinators, while those wishing to brush up on their cookery skills will be able to select from a range of cookery books.

Speaking about the event, The Mayor, Councillor Thomas Beckett, said: ‘The Ladies Vintage Tea evening is one of many events which has been organised to raise funds for my chosen charity, the Mary Peters Trust.

“And I hope people will continue to support our efforts by attending the event.

“This is most definitely the perfect night out for all ladies across the city to come together for a fun evening of fashion and pampering.

“I would encourage you all to purchase your tickets now to avoid missing out.

“My sincere thanks goes to Café Vic-Ryn for hosting the evening and also to all the exhibitors and local businesses for taking the time to come along to support this event.

“I have no doubt that the evening will be a tremendous success.”

Guests can enjoy a delicious supper by Café Vic-Ryn while listening to modern sounds of brass band, Dynamic Brass.
