Maze and Brookfield WI hold AGM

President Helen Dunlop welcomed everyone to the Maze and Brookfield WI AGM, including Ann Henning who chaired the meeting and Tellers Sally Chapman and Lyndsey Johnston.

A minute’s silence was observed in memory of Irene Tate who passed away recently.

Fifteen members received full attendance awards. The Eleanor Lyttle Competition Cup was won by Aileen Dixon and runner up was Connie Walker.

The Foundation Members’ Craft Shield was won by Dorothy Andrews and The Friendship Cup was won by Helen Dunlop.

The William Leathem Mayor’s Shield was won by Esther Law.

Birthday girls for August and September were Elizabeth Yarr and Sadie Ward.

Floral arrangements were presented to Freda McFarland, Barbara McClenaghan and Noreen Waddell who celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversaries recently.

The new committee members elected were Helen Dunlop, Marion Gordon, Olive Greer, Lila Hewitt, Eunice Hoey, Esther Law, Connie Walker, Heather Wylie, Elizabeth Yarr with Ann Whaley as President.

A vote of thanks was proposed to Ann, Sally and Lyndsey by Esther Law.
