Maze Brookfield WI enjoy festive meetings

At the December meeting of the Maze Brookfield WI members spent a very enjoyable evening visiting the Lisburn Island Centre to see the Pantomine ‘ Mother Goose’ performed by the Lisnagarvey Operatic Society.

During the January meeting members were greeted with mulled wine and shortbread on arrival and welcomed by President Helen Dunlop.

Guest speaker for the evening was Mr Robert Lamont from Lisburn City Council Environmental Health Service whose object is to promote food hygiene awareness and to educate organizations on the importance of safe food handling when catering. Robert gave a most interesting and informative talk on this subject. His humour was also very much enjoyed by the ladies.

The Birthday Girl for December was Hilda Law and for January Aileen Dixon.

Competition winners were first Rosemary Boyes, second Heather Wylie and third Anne Whaley.

Ballot winners were Eileen Neeson, Heather Wylie and Eunice Hoey.
