MBE for Heidi is well deserved
Pictured after her recent Investiture Ceremony at Buckingham Palace is Major Heidi Blackwood MBE along with her parents Tom and Sandra Montgomery.
Heidi grew up in Ballymena, but now lives in Antrim.
She was awarded the MBE in Her Majesty’s Birthday Honours List 2014 for services to the Army Cadet Force.
She is now Director of Music for 1st (NI) Battalion and was responsible for raising a Corps of Drums and Military Band as well as mentoring cadets through BTEC Level 2 Diplomas in ‘Personal Development and Teamwork’ and ‘Music for Public Performance’.
