McAfee hold two night auction

Viewing continues today Tuesday, April 12th from 3pm to 5pm and 7pm –to 8.30pm and on each day of sale Wednesday, April 13th and Thursday, April 14th from 3.30pm each afternoon until the start of sale at 6.30pm each evening.

As well as the large selection of antique and general furnishings and collectibles, clocks feature strongly in the sale with a real selection of longcase clocks, wall clocks including double weight and spring vienna, drop dials, mirror backed and small regulators, add to this wall clocks, and a large collection of mantle clocks including two 3 piece clock sets, mahogany and porcelain cased clocks, an unusual standing vienna, and an unusual tower clock and a brass bell clock.

A large private collection of tools including drills, air compressor, saws, socket sets and hand tools are also included as is a good collection of unusual hand and oil lamps, brass scales, weights, etc.

Two private collections of jewellery, including 9ct and 18ct gold rings, chains, bracelets, and some silver jewellery is also included, as are some stamps, postcards and pocket watches.

A good selection of paintings, prints and mirrors, are among other items included, as is a nice collection of silver, beswick, doultons, beatrix potter figurines, staffordshires, brass, tea and dinner sets etc.

A 1997 Saab 900s convertible car, a number of good garden benches, a good honda lawnmower, etc.etc. are among the more unusual lots, of particular interest is a large weymms pottery basket, a very good set of eight dining room chairs, a good extending dining room table and two mahogany shaped front sideboards, many other interesting pieces of furniture.
