McClure salutes Paisley

THE Rev. Ian Paisleys strength of character and passionate desire to serve local people have been the cornerstones of his 40-year career in the House of Commons, his close friend and party president, Alderman James McClure has said.

The Coleraine DUP representative said Dr. Paisleys biggest strength in all his years as a public servant has been the fact that he never lost touch with the people.

Alderman McClure also believes the man who has served the North Antrim constituency for so long has never lost his vision for Northern Ireland despite the constant criticism he received as leader of the DUP.
