With the support of local businesses, customers and people along the way, the store is aiming to raise a significant amount for the charity now in its 35th year.

Speaking of the challenge, McCool’s SuperValu Ballymoney store manager, Ian Elliott said, “We are very excited to be fundraising for the Children in Need appeal and what better way to go that extra mile than doing a Pudsey Trolley Push down to the BBC Studios in Belfast, where the appeal night takes place.

“So far we have received great support from our in-store Slimming World group, Terex Ballymoney, Strive Personal Training and Maine Minerals and we would welcome support from other local businesses, our customers and people along the 51-mile route. This really is a challenge for the team but knowing we are doing it for such a great cause will push us through to the end,” he added.

The SuperValu Ballymoney team will head off on their journey at 6am on November 12, making their way through Dunloy, Glarryford, Cullybackey, Galgorm and Ballymena before arriving in Antrim.
