At Friday’s sitting of North Antrim Magistrates’ Court, McDowell appeared on a disorderly behaviour charge which occurred on April 11, this year.

The case was adjourned until May 21, but a defence solicitor asked if McDowell could be excused from court on the date, as he was ‘ involved in another high profile case.’

The solicitor added that it would be ‘best’ if his client wasn’t in Coleraine.
