McGlone welcomes resurfacing at Pomeroy

Transport NI recently confirmed to SDLP Mid Ulster MLA Patsy McGlone that resurfacing work along a section of Cavanakeeran Road will be carried out in the early part of the new calendar year.

The news came following lobbying by the SDLP MLA and local SDLP Councillor Tony Quinn on behalf of local residents.

Welcoming the confirmation Mr McGlone said: “A number of local residents had contacted my office with their concerns about the poor state of the road.

“Along with my party colleague, local SDLP Councillor Tony Quinn, I contacted Transport NI to discuss the situation.

“We were able to identify a section of the road in most need of resurfacing, and Transport NI have now confirmed that the work will be carried out in the early part of the new calendar year.”
