McIlroy welcomes Bushmills scheme

The applicant is Mr R. Faia and Cllr McIlroy told a Moyle Council meeting: “It is good to see an older derelict building being sorted out in Bushmills but where does parking come in?”

Planning officer Julie McMath said they had to weigh up the future of the building and the capacity for car parking.

Because of the proximity of the town centre it was felt in order to make the scheme “work” they would not ask for parking as part of it.

Mr McIlroy said there were also parking issues in relation to an old textile mill which involved five apartments.
