“The existing Crankhill Bridge has been demolished and construction work on the new bridge over the Cloughmills Water is progressing along with the installation of various box and pipe culverts. The £55million scheme is expected to be completed in the summer of 2017.

“Other significant areas of work already completed by the NI Executive through Transport NI this financial year included the provision of a £280,000 shared cycle footway on the C84 Corkey Road connecting the hamlets of Ben Vista and Rockend, some minor road widening was included in the works. This cycle footway will enhance the existing pedestrian facilities, assisting in providing safer cycle and walking routes to school and connecting the two communities.
