McKillop raises Dundarave toilets and pitch issues

Local TUV councillor Sharon McKillop has met with Aiden McPeak of Moyle Council to discuss what she calls “the poor standard” of public toilets at Dundarave Park and Ride and Dundarave football pitch.

“I raised the fact that the overall appearance and upkeep of the toilets reflect very badly on the area.

“The absence of even a cleaning log suggests that the monitoring of the cleanliness of the toilets is, at best, haphazard. In spite of the fact that the toilets are just seven years old they are badly in need of complete refurbishment.

“I also raised the poor standard of maintenance of Dundarave football pitch.

“The poor state of the pitch, particularly the fact that it is frequently waterlogged and plagued by dog fouling, is again a frequent complaint from members of the public. I believe that the pitch needs to be brought up to an acceptable standard to allow the local team to play to the level they wish.

“I will be monitoring the situation closely to see if it improves,” she said.
