MEA Borough Council considers boundary issues

MEA Borough Council has discussed boundary defacement on Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland Maps.

A Land and Property Services report presented to council on August 3 noted that “natural and man-made changes to the topographic landscape result in boundaries becoming misaligned, or ‘defaced,’ from the feature to which they were originally aligned.”

After councillors questioned the current status of the boundaries and how changes would be calculated, a council officer vowed to seek clarification and report back.
