MEA Corporate Plan goes out to public consultation

The public now have the opportunity to have their say on the draft 2015-2019 Corporate Plan of the new Mid & East Antrim Super Council.

Now out to public consultation, the purpose of the Corporate Plan is to describe how the Council will realise its vision by setting out the five strategic priorities which its members will focus on over the next four years.

The Council vision is - Mid and East Antrim: Working together to create a better future for all.

To realise this vision MEA Council have identified five strategic priorities: Growing the economy; Developing tourism potential; Building stronger communities; Delivering excellent services; Developing a high performing council

Commenting on the consultation, Chairman Alderman Billy Ashe said: “As a Council we believe it is very important that our strategic priorities reflect those of the people we serve. We are, therefore, inviting comments on the draft plan, from all citizens and representatives of community groups, businesses large or small, and the Council’s many partners in the public, private, or voluntary sectors”.

The draft Corporate Plan can be found at www.midandeastantrim.gov.uk and comments can be emailed to [email protected] or sent to Corp. Plan Consultation, Mid & East Antrim Council, The Braid, Bridge Street, Ballymena. Closing date for responses is February 20, 2015.
