MEA delegation on plan to axe court
A Mid & East Antrim Council delegation has called for a strategic review of the entire court estate in response to the controversial plan to close eight courthouses including Ballymena.
The delegation which included Mayor, Billy Ashe, Chief Executive Anne Donaghy and Cr Tommy Nicholl submitted evidence on the issue to the N. Ireland Assembly Committee for Justice.
Cr Nicholl said he was “very optimistic” that the case to retain the courthouse had been heard.
