Mega Mobile comes calling for teenagers

THE MEGA Mobile is coming to Lurgan.

Teenagers aged 13 to 18 are welcome to jump aboard to discuss issues relevant to both them and their friends.

The Mega Mobile is a state-of-the-art monster truck which uses interactive technology, including laptops and digital cameras, to help young people explore issues relating to them, including anti-social behaviour, crime, alcohol and health.

Teenagers will be able to participate in creative multimedia workshops and take part in interactive activities on board the Mega Mobile. They will also get the chance to meet and discuss their issues with local Police Officers and representatives from Opportunity Youth and the Southern Health and Social Care Trust.

Chairman of Craigavon Community Safety Partnership (CCSP), Councillor Michael McGoldrick, said: “The CCSP is bringing the Mega Mobile to our young people which provides an excellent opportunity to engage with them and make them think about and discuss issues which affect them and the local community. Teenagers will also be able to secure confidential advice and guidance from a wide range of representatives on board the mobile. “

The Mega Mobile will be available to visit at the following locations: Craigavon Watersports Centre on Friday, August 13 from 3pm to 10pm; Lurgan Park on Friday, August 20 from 3pm to 10pm; Portadown People’s Park on Friday, August 27 from 3pm to 10pm.
