Men accused of preparing terrorist act

Two men accused of conspiracy to cause an explosion at the Waterfoot Hotel are to apply for bail, Londonderry Magistrates Court has been told.

Darren Poleon (41) and Brian Walsh (34), with addresses in Meath, are charged with preparation of a terrorist act, possession of explosives with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to cause an explosion on October 6, last year.

The court heard there had been delays in reports which were to be submitted on April 12.

Both men were remanded in custody to appear in court again on May 16.

Solicitor Ciaran Shiels appeared for both accused.
