Men for trial on hijacking charges

Two men have been returned for trial to Craigavon Crown Court on attempted hijacking and assault charges.

Daniel Mulvenna (27),whose address was given as Belvedere Manor, Lurgan, and Conor James McConville (22), with an address at Flush Park, 
Lisburn, appeared last 
Friday at a preliminary enquiry at Craigavon courthouse.

They are jointly charged with the attempted hijacking of a vehicle and assaulting a man on November 1 last 
year.

McConville is also charged with unlawful 
damage to a key and assault on a police officer.

Both were remanded to appear for arraignment at Craigavon Crown Court on March 10.

McConville was returned in custody while Mulvenna was remanded on his own bail of £500.

His bail conditions include a complete ban on 
consuming alcohol and a curfew from 9pm until 
7am.
